YOUR WORDS MATTER!
More often than not, negative language often escalates a problem instead of solving it.
Using positive language rather than negative statements allows students to feel more valued, heard and validated rather than making them feel disrespected, undervalued and reprimanded.
Changing or rephrasing negative statements to positive ones can help you communicate better with your students and in turn, will elicit a more positive response.
